Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – Update

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, with the company intending to announce all specifics in its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports suggested the company planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not provided a response on the matter.
