Diving into an Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Turdy Character in a Mission to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is now live, and players have discovered plenty of entertaining indie games. However, one is particularly notable for its quirky concept. Titled Unko Technica, this classic-feel side-scrolling game features a character that is truly a piece of poop striving to make its way to a toilet. In case you're wondering, "Unko" means "poop."

How you interact is easy to grasp: press a single jump button. In one hundred fifty levels, you'll face boss fights and visit a store to purchase customizations for your dung hero.

Execute your jumps with caution, since one error requires restarting the level. Leap using air pockets to launch the poop higher, cross fragile surfaces, and touch buttons to unlock new areas. Earn currency for buying more difficult levels as gameplay intensifies.

Visually, the experience features vibrant stages and a killer soundtrack. Its minimalist graphics featuring moving basic polygons may remind fans of old favorites like Earthbound.

Even though hard to think of similar titles where you are a coiled turd, gaming frequently incorporated toilet humor. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, you can create grenades from protagonist excrement. Titles such as Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved employ dung as plant food. Unsurprisingly, this theme appears heavily in the South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its silly concept, Unko Technica has already received impressive recognition, such as winning at Bandai Namco's game competition in 2023. This trial version is accessible now on Steam, with the complete version scheduled to debut on computers this November.
